Vision & values
Welcome
Chelwood is an ‘open air’ nursery school in the heart of Brockley!
Chelwood focusses on developing confident and independent children who are able to make informed choices and decisions for themselves, whilst developing a caring and considerate and. responsible attitude towards other people and their environment. We believe that the consistency provided by regular sessions and routines, a familiar and consistent peer group and staff team, are significant factors in developing these life skills.
Chelwood Tours
For prospective families
For families applying for a place in September 2027, tours will begin in late Autumn 26. Dates will be available on the website soon.

Stand up to racism
Today and every other day, everyone at Chelwood Nursery School stand as one with our black pupils, staff, parents and the entire BAME community in condemning racism. We are here to support everyone, regardless of race, sexuality, gender, religion or anything else which makes you, you.
